The Southside Scoop – Edition 50

As we reach Week 7 of Term 2, there is a wonderful sense of purpose and engagement across our school. Classrooms continue to be busy with meaningful learning experiences, with students exploring new ideas, refining their skills, and deepening their understanding through hands-on discovery and inquiry.

One of the highlights of the past few weeks has been welcoming families into our classrooms for observation sessions. We sincerely thank all parents who took the time to visit. These opportunities provide a valuable window into the Montessori environment and allow families to observe the concentration, independence, and joy that children experience in their daily work. We greatly appreciate your interest and involvement in your child’s educational journey.

Maria Montessori once said, “Within the child lies the fate of the future.” This powerful reminder highlights the importance of nurturing each child’s natural curiosity, love of learning, and developing sense of self. Every day, we are privileged to witness our students growing not only academically, but also as thoughtful and capable members of our community. 

There is still much to look forward to this term, and we are excited to continue sharing the many learning experiences, achievements, and special moments taking place throughout our school.
